Safe Ministry Training

For Volunteers in the Anglican Diocese of Tasmania

In the church, we want to show all people the love of God. His love motivates us to help and care for the vulnerable as we represent Christ to the world. As well as teaching us to identify and remove barriers to caring for and protecting people, completion of this subject helps us comply with state and federal law. In this subject, our focus is largely on the safety of children, as well as other vulnerable people in our churches. We will cover Safe Ministry with respect to running Safe Programs and ensuring our church is a Safe Place by having Safe People involved in ministries. We also consider Safe Practices for avoiding abuse, and caring for those who might disclose concerning things to us. This training is important for all who serve in the life of the church.
